Indonesian Post-Black Metal Debut

Indonesian post-black metal band FILIAL announced their debut album *Pensive in Reminiscence* via Harsh Productions, set for April 18, 2026, generating buzz in underground metal circles. The announcement has been amplified across social media with fans eagerly awaiting the band's first full-length release.

FILIAL is a solo project from Pasuruan, East Java, with multi-instrumentalist Dwiki handling all instruments and vocals. Formed in 2023, the band explores themes of romance, nostalgia, and melancholy within its post-black metal sound. Prior to their upcoming debut album, FILIAL has released two singles: "Girl and Her Silhouette" in 2023 and "Glance (The Last Summer)" in 2024. The forthcoming full-length, *Pensive in Reminiscence*, sees Dwiki not only as the sole musician but also as the producer, handling mixing and mastering at Illogic Studio. The album's title track features guest vocals from Jihad and Januaryo Hardy, adding a collaborative element to the otherwise solo endeavor. The visual presentation of the album is a product of Indonesian talent, with artwork created by Timbul Cahyono and the band's logo designed by Rio Oscaryzm. FILIAL's label, Harsh Productions, is an Indonesian record label that has been operating since 2012, specializing in various forms of metal and rock, including black metal, post-rock, and sludge. The label has been a platform for numerous underground Indonesian acts.
