Robe iESPRITE lights debut
Robe’s new iESPRITE LTL moving lights made their live debut at Ljubljana’s Stožice Arena for the Winter Fairytale concert — the first live music show in Slovenia to use the fixtures. The install showcased advanced programmable effects that are trending in immersive concert rigging. (tpimagazine.com)
Twenty‑four iESPRITE LTL fixtures were incorporated into the moving‑light plot as part of a rig that—by the organisers’ count—comprised roughly 85% Robe luminaires. (tpimagazine.com) Lighting designer Crt Birsa (Blackout Lighting Design) and programmer Anže Trstenjak ran the lighting operation while set designer Greta Godnic specified a 10‑metre central round screen and a 29‑metre‑wide scenic width that required 64 rigging points. (robe.cz) Robe’s iESPRITE LTL WB is an IP65‑rated WashBeam that weighs 37.5 kg and uses Robe’s transferable iSE‑TE 750W LED engines, with the XP engine rated at 35,000 lm (≈260,000 lx at 5 m, CRI 70) and the HCF option at 22,750 lm (≈140,000 lx at 5 m, CRI 96). (robelighting.com) The fixture’s optics include a 200 mm front lens, a standard zoom of 3°–57° and a Long‑Throw Mode using xR7™ technology down to 0.7°–2°, plus CMY colour mixing, dual colour wheels and a variable CTO range of 3,000–6,700 K with ChromaTint™ green control. (robelighting.com) Show effects deployed from the LTLs comprised rotating and static gobo wheels, an aluminium animation wheel, two stackable prisms, two MagFrost interchangeable frosts and PLANO4™ four‑blade framing, with Robe’s L3™ 18‑bit dimming and Cpulse™ flicker management for camera compatibility. (robelighting.com) Intralite’s Ales Pirman said the LTLs were “shockingly” bright compared with FORTE fixtures and that the new units were used extensively at full intensity for backlighting the band, orchestra and choir during the arena production.
