For Newcastle, the defeat marks the end of their FA Cup campaign and another domestic cup exit at the hands of City, who also eliminated them from the EFL Cup semi-finals. Currently sitting 12th in the Premier League, their focus now shifts to a formidable challenge in the UEFA Champions League, where they are set to face Barcelona in the Round of 16.
