Oxfordshire Restaurants Earn Michelin Recognition

Three restaurants in Oxfordshire have been newly recognized by the Michelin Guide for the first time. The additions include The Nest restaurant in The Feather's at Woodstock. This recognition highlights the growing culinary reputation of the region.

- The two other newly recognized restaurants are Wild at the Bull Hotel in Burford and The Bat & Ball in Cuddesdon. - The head chef at The Nest is Luke Rawicki, while Wild in Burford is led by head chef Ben Chamberlain, who specializes in open-fire cooking. - The Bat & Ball in Cuddesdon is a village pub helmed by head chef Rick Owens, who previously worked at the two-Michelin-starred Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons. - These three establishments are new entries in the 2026 Michelin Guide, a recognition for their quality cooking. - Wild in Burford offers an intimate dining experience with only 10 seats around a copper-topped counter and fire pit. - The Bat & Ball is part of The Montgomery Group, which also operates The Lamb Inn in Little Milton, another Oxfordshire pub recognized by the Michelin Guide. - With the temporary closure of Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons, The Nut Tree in Murcott is currently the only Michelin-starred restaurant in Oxfordshire, having held its star for 18 consecutive years. - The Feathers Hotel, home to The Nest, also received a "Michelin Key," an award that recognizes outstanding hotels.
