Hollister, Japanese Eateries Slated For Stoneridge Mall

- Hollister clothing and two Japanese restaurants are set to open later this year at Stoneridge Mall. - The additions aim to refresh the mall's retail and dining mix, drawing more local shoppers and visitors. - Mall officials expect openings to boost foot traffic and revenue as the local retail landscape shifts (patch.com).

Stoneridge Shopping Center in Pleasanton says Hollister, Maruwu Seicha and Onigilly Japanese Kitchen are set to open later in 2026. (patch.com) Hollister is scheduled to open in the third quarter, according to the mall’s April news release reported by Patch. Maruwu Seicha, a Japanese tea shop, will open on the first level, and Onigilly plans a later 2026 debut. (patch.com) Maruwu Seicha’s menu will include matcha lattes, matcha Americanos and hojicha lattes, Patch reported. Onigilly’s menu centers on onigiri — pressed rice balls filled with items such as shrimp, salmon, chicken, eggplant, bacon and mushrooms — along with bowls, desserts and drinks. (patch.com) Onigilly already operates at multiple Bay Area locations, but Stoneridge would be its first East Bay outpost, according to Patch and Hoodline. That gives the mall a new-to-market food tenant, not just another branch of an existing Pleasanton restaurant. (patch.com) (hoodline.com) The new leases land as Stoneridge keeps leaning on food and fashion to refill space and keep shoppers coming. The City of Pleasanton described the center in March 2025 as a retail hub with more than 140 brands and restaurants, while its dining guide says the property has more than 165 stores and close to 20 places to eat. (cityofpleasantonca.gov 1) (cityofpleasantonca.gov 2) That tenant shuffle has been visible this spring. Pleasanton Weekly reported April 19 that the three incoming businesses were part of a fresh round of retail and dining additions, and Bay Area Telegraph reported April 12 that JCPenney had permanently closed at Stoneridge on Feb. 22, 2026. (pleasantonweekly.com) (bayareatelegraph.com) Stoneridge has also been planning for a longer-term remake beyond tenant turnover. Pleasanton Weekly reported in February 2023 that the Pleasanton City Council approved major pieces of a redevelopment framework that could allow up to 1,170 housing units on mall property as part of a mixed-use future. (pleasantonweekly.com) For now, the near-term change is simpler: one national apparel brand and two Japanese food-and-drink concepts are filling storefronts this year at one of the Tri-Valley’s biggest shopping centers.
